[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”What does Rat Busters do with the animals once they are captured?”]

This all depends on the animal that we need to capture and remove.  If the critter is healthy and if it is actually legal in the state of Florida to relocate it that is our ultimate goal. If the critter is sick or hurt in some way, euthanizing it may be the most humane thing to do.

Keep in mind that Rat Busters Boca Raton Florida must follow the laws of the state in regards to the possession and transportation of wildlife by wildlife control trappers. Therefore, we will always obey the law. We always choose the most humane options and as a result we prefer to relocate whenever possible.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Can I call the county or city to handle problem animals for free?”]

You can always call the county or city animal control department but they ONLY handle dogs, cats and other domesticated animals. So if you see a stray or lost dog or cat that is definitely who you should call.  These government animal control services do not deal with wild animals. Like rats, mice, raccoon, opossum, squirrels, armadillos, iguanas, wild hogs, birds, ducks, and geese, etc.

Here in south Florida if you need an alligator trapped or removed you must call the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. This is their Nuisance Alligator Hotline: 866-FWC-GATOR.  Therefore, to be clear, the government run animal control departments will not remove raccoons from your attic. They will not remove opossums in your backyard or remove rats from your home.  Instead you need to call Rat Busters Boca Raton Florida office. We will dispatch the best tech for the job at hand! Give Rat Busters a call now at 844-293-7287

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Does Rat Busters deal with cat and dogs?”]

Rat Busters does not handle dogs or cats. Therefore, if you need help with that please call your local city or county animal control office. Therefore, for all other animal control issues call Rat Busters Boca Raton Florida office at 844-293-7287. Call us now because we are specialists in the wildlife removal business!

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Which animals does Rat Busters help with or remove?”]

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Which animals does Rat Busters not help with?”]

We do not handle domesticated animals like DOGS OR CATS.  If you have a problem with barking dogs, dog bites, stray dogs or cats then PLEASE call your city or county animal control office. THEY ARE IN THE BLUE PAGES OF YOUR PHONE BOOK! Therefore, please do not call us for dogs or cats.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Does Rat Busters remove dead animals?”]

Yes. Rat Busters does remove dead animals.  If you smell a decomposing animal then give us a call and we will come and remove the mess. We will also decontaminate the area to help get rid of the nauseating smell in addition to preventing the spread of disease. Consequently, this will prevent the attraction of other wild animal to that smell. Call the Rat Busters Boca Raton Florida Corporate office to learn more now.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Does Rat Busters get rid of bugs, spiders, termites or other insects?”]

No. We do not use any chemical or pesticides. Therefore we do not get rid of any bugs or insects with the exception of honey bees. Because we will always try to relocate their hive and most of all try to save the honey bees.

If you need help with termites, roaches, bedbugs or other insects you would be best served by calling a local pest control company. Because that is what they specialize in. Pest Control and Wildlife Management are two very different specialties. Therefore it is important to call the right kind of company for the job at hand.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Does Rat Busters use poisons, baits and rodenticides?”]

Absolutely not.  We don’t believe in using poisons or “baits” even though that might seem like the “easy” solution.  The reason is because poisons often cause more problems and increase the costs to homeowners more than you might realize.  First of all, the chances of a pet or child getting into the deadly poison is not worth the risk.  Furthermore, the problem with poisons for rats and mice is that if the rodent dies in your attic, walls or hard to reach area of your home you have a real smelly mess on your hands.

In addition, if you do kill the rats with a poison and get lucky enough to have them die outside somewhere you still have the entry points where the vermin were entering your home.  New rats will simply enter and make a home for themselves.  Consequently, true professionals in the wildlife industry do not recommend posions for rodents. If you call and speak to someone who claims to be a pro and wants to use baits or poisons then run away fast. They have no idea what they are talking about. Call Rat Busters Boca Raton Florida Headquarters to get your free estimate today!

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Does Rat Busters help with orphaned animals?”]

We are not a wildlife rehabilatater.  Most of the time when you think an animal has been orphaned its mother is nearby. Likely, waiting in the bushes or woods for you to leave the area so they can get their young back.  Nine times out of ten the mother will be back to get her baby and keep them safe.  If for some reason this doesn’t happen then we suggest looking up a local wildlife rehabber as this a specialty in itself.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”What should I do if I find an baby or injured bird?”]

The same principals apply here as to what we just discussed in regards to orphaned animals.  Most of the time the mother has pushed the baby out of the nest to teach it to fly and is waiting “in the wings” for the baby to do what it naturally does.  We can come and pick up the bird for you but our full service fee of $150 would apply for the visit.  Therefore, if you can’t resist playing with mother nature then call a local rehabber who may be able to help.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Is Rat Busters licensed?”]

We are proud to say that we are licensed by the state of Florida’s Department of Agriculture with a “Commercial Wildlife Management Certification”.  This certification is required for all companies dealing with trapping or removing rats, mice or rodents.  Most “Pest Control” companies do not have this licensing even though they may carry a license to deal with pesticides and insects.  Ask them for their Commercial Wildlife Management Certification number. Because if they can’t provide you with that you know they are not licensed in accordance with the law in the state of Florida.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Is Rat Busters insured?”]

Yes we are insured and carry both workers comp and liability insurance to protect you the property owner if something were to happen in the form of an accident while we were on the job.  You can rest at ease knowing that we are covered with all of the insurance we need to protect you and to protect our company.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”What health risks do humans face from wild animals?”]

There are many diseases that wild animals carry and can transmit to humans.  Some are airborne illnesses and other are transmitted through saliva and blood.  This is a list of just some of the potential diseases humans might get from wild animals: Rabies, Rat Bite Fever, Leptospirosis, Histoplasmosis, Trichinosis, Melioidosid, Murine Typhus, roundworm, Salmonellosis, Rickettsial Disease, Brucellosis, Pasteurellosis, and others.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Have the Rat Busters techs ever had an animal bite them?”]

First of all, when you handle as many critters as we do you would think we would get bit from time to time but this is a very rare situation.  Because we are professionals we know how to deal with wild animals in a safe and humane way. We have heard of many stories where inexperienced homeowners have tried to handle wild animals and as a result ended up getting bit.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”What is the weirdest animal Rat Busters has ever caught?”]

The usual critters we trap and remove are rats, raccoons, opossums, squirrels, etc. We occasionally deal with less common animals like foxes, coyotes, bobcats, pythons, etc. It seems like the most unusual critters we face are the ones that are the least common in ther area.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Rabies is scary. Do all wild animals carry rabies?”]

Rabies is a very serious and potentially fatal disease.  Technically any warm blooded mammal can carry rabies. Most cases of rabies transmission in the United States comes from bats.  Dogs are responsible for the largest spread of rabies worldwide. Occasionally there will be a case of a raccoon, fox, coyote, or skunk that bites and transmits the disease to a human in the U.S.

Just because you see an animal during the day does not mean they have rabies.  If they appear to act normally they are likely OK.  If you see an animal acting confused, stumbling, walking in circles, and foaming at the mouth they are probably infected with rabies.  If those signs are visible call a wildlife control specialist ASAP.  Animals showing those signs are in the contagious state of the disease and can be very unpredictable.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Can my normal pest control company handle wild animal removal?”]

Pest control companies specialize in bugs and insects.  Therefore, they are experts in that field.  Wild Animal removal is a whole separate field and requires a whole different set of skills and knowledge. Rodent removal actually requires someone certified in wildlife management through the state of Florida.

In conclusion spraying bugs and catching wild critters are 2 different things.  Call the right kind of company based on what you need help with. Rat Busters is certified by the state and specializes in the removal of all wild animals. That’s another reason to call Rat Busters Boca Raton Florida office today.

[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Why does Rat Busters charge the prices you do?”]

Our prices vary depending on the job at hand.  Catching a squirrel in a garage is not nearly as difficult as removing a snarling raccoon that has a litter of babies in your attic.  Therefore, our fees vary based on the risk involved to our technicians, the difficulty of the job and the number of times we need to return to complete the job.

If the animal is in your attic or home we need to determine how it got in and seal the openings that it used to gain access and enter your home.  The number of openings and entry points needing sealed and the difficulty of sealing those openings also factor into the fees we charge for our services. So give us a call and we can help you with an estimate over the phone. Due to the variables you will need to keep in mind that phone estimates are just ballpark ideas. They may change once we get boots on the ground and analyze the situation in real life.
