Boca Raton, Florida (August 11, 2016) – Rat Busters proudly announces Matthew Rosen, one of their valued rat removal technicians, earned his Limited Commercial Wildlife Management (LCWM) Certification. Upon taking and passing the exams, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services granted Mr. Rosen the certification. Mr. Rosen can now professionally and legally remove or trap rats and mice in, on or under commercial structures in Boca Raton and other surrounding areas.

As the appointed agency for ensuring the protection of the environment and the safety of every Floridian, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services requires that all pest control and animal control business that deal with commensal rodents in Florida must get their license through them. The Structural Pest Control Act dictates that operators must be certified in the category in which the business operates in. Each employee must be of age and pass the written examination given by the agency. Moreover, they have to qualify for many of the the exams based on their experience and education.

After passing the LCWM exam, each animal control professional must also provide proof of insurance to indicate that they or their respective employers meet the minimum financial responsibility both for bodily injury and property damages. Only then will the LCWM certificate be issued. As of now, required insurance amounts are set at $250,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury while the amounts for property damage are set at $250,000 per occurrence and $500,000 in the aggregate for the company.

The Limited Commercial Wildlife Management Certification qualifies the professional for trapping of commensal rodents (rats or mice). Rat Busters trapping services also extends to other nuisance wildlife that may find their way inside homes or business facilities such as raccoons, opossums, foxes, squirrels, coyotes and skunks.

Rat Busters, however, can address animal control problems involving a larger range of nuisance wildlife. This could include iguanas, beavers, birds, Muscovy ducks, armadillos, snakes, feral hogs and more.
